Ghanaian comedian and media personality Afia Schwarzenegger (real name Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa) has taken legal action over false information online.
She has sent a strong demand notice to the Wikimedia Foundation, asking them to correct misleading details about her.
According to her lawyers, when people search her name on Google or Wikipedia, the image that sometimes appears is that of Hajia 4Reall, also known as Mona Faiz Montrage, who has been convicted in a fraud case.
Her legal team says this mistake is damaging her reputation and has already caused her to lose endorsement deals worth thousands of dollars.
In the letter sent from Accra, her lawyers are demanding:
- Immediate correction of the wrong information
- Removal of the misleading image
Afia Schwarzenegger, known for her outspoken personality, says she is determined to protect her image online.
The issue has sparked reactions on social media, with many Ghanaians supporting her move against online misinformation.
