Hard work pays, and Joanita keeps writing her own story, as she was named female player of day 2 of the ongoing ITTF Africa Youth Championships and Africa Cup, Accra 2026. She’s seen as a future leader for Ghana table tennis on the international stage, she is set to shine as a key player for Ghana’s youth team.
She’s part of the new wave proving that Ghana can compete and win at the highest level in Africa and beyond. The Youth Championship began on 20th July, which is expected to end on 29th July, 2026
Moreover, the President of Ghana Table Tennis Association, Mr. Mawuko Afadzanu, reiterated that Ghana is in the next level, which we are striving to be in the top tier and also looking forward to qualifying for the Olympic Games, these are the major milestones for Ghana.

The players are doing incredibly well, but there are elements they need to fine-tune and improve with coaching. The prospects are good, but they need to do the necessary things to move to the next level.
Lastly, Mr Afadzanu appealed to spectators and lovers of table tennis to be at Borteyman Sports Complex to wit
exciting championship.
