Prudential Life Insurance is poised to host one of Ghana’s largest cycling competitions for the seventh time, an event that commenced in 2019.
Having established its presence in Ghana since 2014, Prudential Life Insurance currently ranks third in the life insurance sector and aspires to ascend to the top position.
This year’s event promises to be particularly thrilling, commencing with a fan ride scheduled for August 22, 2026, at the University of Ghana Stadium. The event is open to families, groups, elite riders, and children, with registration being free(×7778×001#)
The main professional event is set to take place on September 6, 2026, at the Borteyman Sports Complex, where winners in both male and female categories will receive medals and a cash prize of GHC 15,000.
Richard Akporkavi, President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, emphasized the significance of PruRide for athletes, highlighting its role in assessing their readiness for international competitions.

Jane Mingle, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Life, expressed delight in the initiative, appreciating the support of partners, student representatives of university of Ghana, legon and all cycling clubs. She noted that the event has evolved into a movement promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainability.
Shaaban Mohammed, Secretary General of the Ghana Cycling Federation, praised the partnership with Prudential Life Insurance, citing its positive impact on the federation and the community.
