The ITTF Africa Youth Championship is scheduled to take place in Ghana from July 17th to 29th, 2026, hosted by the Ghana Table Tennis Association. Venues for the event will be the Dome, University of Ghana, Legon, and Borteyman Sports Complex.

The under-12 category, known as the Hopes Week and Challenge, will be held on July 17th and 18th, 2026, at the Dome, University of Ghana, Legon. The main African Youth Cup will begin on July 20th, 2026, at Borteyman Sports Complex, with the conclusion of the African Championship happening on the last two days.

With 22 countries registered to participate, around 300 athletes are expected. Each participating country will have four athletes, except Ghana, which will have 12 athletes, evenly split between boys and girls, due to the kindness of officials.

Mr. Mawuko Afadzanu, the President of the Ghana Table Tennis Association, stated that this event presents a significant opportunity for nurturing young athletes and talent to bring laurels to their countries.
Coach David Senyo appreciated Mr. Mawuko Afadzanu’s dedication to making this event happen, bringing table tennis in Ghana to the highest level. He mentioned it’s fantastic to have 12 athletes competing and wishes them success as future champions.
