The Ghana Paralympic Association has unveiled its contingent of athletes for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland.
Five athletes, namely Haruna Tahiru, Bosto Nkegbe, Zinabu, Hayford, and Promise Ahator, have been selected and will receive GHC10,000 each to facilitate their preparations.

Bosto Nkegbe expressed appreciation for the financial support, noting it was unprecedented for athletes to receive such motivation from the president.
Mr. Samson Deen, in his capacity as President of the Africa Paralympic Committee and Ghana Paralympic Association, highlighted the significance of backing these athletes in their pursuit of excellence.
He stressed the importance of discipline among the athletes, warning that lack of it would be detrimental to their performance. Mr. Deen reiterated the potential benefits of investing in para sports, suggesting that a small fraction of football’s resources could go a long way.
